OBJECTIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT:

To ensure the operation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center for Rehabilitation and Balneology" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - the Center) at the international level in the area of research, postgraduate and continuous medical education in order to provide high-quality medical rehabilitation and health resort treatment using advanced innovative methods and technologies, to implement the Federal project "Development of export of medical services" (hereinafter - the Center) , and raise the prestige of the Center in Russia and abroad.

TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT:
1.
Organization of international cooperation with leading medical institutions in rehabilitation and balneology on the basis of signed Agreements.
Main areas of research activities:
  • conducting joint research;
  • publications in international journals;
  • participation in international conferences, congresses, symposia, seminars, etc.;
  • exchange of residents, postgraduates, professors, lecturers, employees;
  • organization of internships for young scientists and staff in the world's leading medical institutions;
  • organization of international events, webinars at the Center and participation of staff members in events abroad;
  • organizing visits of foreign colleagues to the Center and staff travel abroad to fulfill the goals of the Division;
  • conducting international clinical trials, participation in international grants;
  • work on the recognition of credit points of continuous medical education, clinical protocols, rehabilitation methods and health resort treatment according to European standards, organization of the flow of European citizens to the Center under the schemes of voluntary medical insurance and compulsory medical insurance.
2.
Organization of efforts to implement the federal project "Development of export of medical services".

The potential of the Center for medical tourism and export of medical services is quite high, first of all, for the CIS countries. This is explained by the fact that the level of medical care in Russia, on average, is significantly higher than in the CIS countries and the post-Soviet territories, and our Center is the leading institution in the Russian Federation with regard to medical rehabilitation and baleology.

The Center has a unique range of modern equipment for mechanotherapy, physiotherapy, balneotherapy, the institution employs competent specialists of high level, and the cost of services is comparatively lower than in European countries. It is an attractive factor for the development of export of medical services.
